YVES MEDAM - Les paradigmes artificiels
(Artificial Paradigms)
Galerie Dominique Bouffard is pleased to present an all-new body of work by art photographer Yves Medam. The exhibition "Artificial Paradigms " shows dream-worlds where the reality of the “City of the Doges” is altered and fragmented by the amalgamation of snapshots captured at the same place. The artist defines his work thus:
“To shoot a place and appropriate it. To seize it, the better to travesty it. To clothe it in mystery and fancy in order to discover in it something incongruous, crazy and poetic. To play at mixing things, at shifting them, at blurring them. To put the world upside down, to upset it in order to view it differently.” – Yves Medam
The exhibition will take place from November 13 to December 8.
